Titled-"This is where it happened"
Had recently started painting when i made this in 2002 i believe.
Based on a photo of some ghostly woman with a tragic and quiet look about her.
It inspired me to make this painting.
Was still learning the human form, perspective, proportions, etc. You can see it in this piece.
Added the sweeping extension on the back of the chair and experimented with impasto to give the whole piece a textured 3d look.
Especially on the chair and ring.
There's a silhouette figure on the chair telling a story of woe as the robed woman shows you another chapter.
22"x34.25" on mdf.
You get a fledgling chapter of my art journey with this piece.
Lots more of my art and creations in the shop.
Thanks for viewing.
